SOCRATIC SEMINAR
The socratic seminar was also one of my favorite lectures, the reason for that was because Socrates was a great philosopher who had many amazing ideas. The idea behind this lecture was to try and see things from his point of view. I was able to learn that according to Socrates the best way to attain knowledge was through conversation which is very true. The fishbowls that took place in class allowed for conversations that were interesting and held importance in our everyday lives. Socrates also believed that if you would progressively correct someone, you can bring out the truth in their lies. He had a great mind and allowed many people to think in different ways. His ideas were more based on some sort of manipulation of the mind. That is why I loved this lecture/fishbowl because we were able to take a deeper look into that and develop a deep conversation.
