Reflection

Being a transfer student from a city school, many of my credits unfortunately did not
transfer over. Having taken English two at my previous school made me less excited
about taking this class again. As a few classes went by I began to realize that this class
was unlike any other English class I had ever been in. Professor Brady made every
student feel equal. In my previous classes I often realized that professors always hold
other students higher than one another whereas Professor Brady referred to every student
as a scholar and never shot down anybody’s response. By doing that I feel like professor
Brady made the class in a way where no one felt judged and allowed us to grow as thinkers. Everybody was allowed to share their feelings and express their ideas without having to worry about having the wrong answer.
Having written my last English paper in my Fall Semester of 2016 before taking this class I was unaware of how to get started. But like I said before being able to say what I wanted without being judged and being viewed as a scholar I was able to let the ideas flow. For every single one of my writing assignments I was able to just say what I wanted. Never
felt the need to hold back because I knew as long as I can backup my ideas with proper
examples and make them connect, there would not be an issue. This helped me grow as
a writer in ways where I was not able to in my previous English classes.

Another aspect of this class that I really enjoyed was that it was never a dull class. I have always been the type of student that needs the professor to engage with its
students. The fish bowls at first seemed like a weird idea because of the name
“fish bowl” but they are actually really beneficial. Being able to engage with your
classmates and your professor allows you to learn and memorize the components of
the lecture that will allow you to complete the assignments given later on. Once you
get home you're not lost and don't have that feeling where you need to text your friends
in order to understand what was going on. Everything was always organized and well
 planned out.

Thats how winning is done!!!!!!!
