This quote means that a belief in human equality is a social philosophy. The reason this lecture was also one of my favorites was because we were given the chance to look at the idea through Professor Brady's eyes. We were also able to see that there are four major institutes that correlate to egalitarianism. Those four institues are GOVERNMENT, FAMILY, RELIGION, and EDUCATION. These four institutions can also be seen in the picture above in different forms. It really showed me how the idea of egalitariansim exist and how it has been continued to be displayed for many years.
